At Geolis, we work for the active conservation of aquatic biodiversity through strategic alliances.

The project for Restocking native fish in inland water bodies, developed together with the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco, represents a key action to regenerate local ecosystems, strengthen natural capital, and contribute to community well-being. This initiative integrates biotechnological production, environmental education, and social ownership as pillars for more sustainable development.

Regenerating ecosystems, protecting the future

We drive reforestation actions as a comprehensive strategy to conserve biodiversity and restore strategic ecosystems.

We actively participate in reforestation initiatives in high-mountain forests, such as in Pico de Orizaba National Park, contributing to the recovery of priority natural areas, the protection of watersheds, and climate change mitigation.

Likewise, we develop coastal reforestation projects with native species as a natural measure to prevent erosion, protect local species’ habitats, and strengthen community resilience to weather events.

These actions reflect our commitment to the conservation of life in all its forms.

Through workshops, exhibitions, and partnerships, we strengthen knowledge about stigmatized species with key ecological importance—such as snakes and bats—promoting environmental awareness and respect for wildlife.

Through the snake identification and handling workshop, we raise awareness among our staff and nearby communities about the ecological importance of these species, dispelling myths and fostering safe, respectful coexistence.

This activity helps to break down prejudices and generate greater empathy toward bats, promoting their protection as natural allies in caring for the environment.

We promote initiatives that encourage recycling, reuse, and responsible waste management, becoming a benchmark for the energy sector. We believe every action counts, and we work to inspire change toward a more sustainable future for all.

Thanks to these efforts, through the recycling of special-handling waste at our facilities, we collected 4.163 kilograms of municipal solid waste, thus avoiding the emission of 11,5 tons of CO₂ equivalent, one of the main gases responsible for the greenhouse effect.
